In its 4th year the annual INEC event is bigger and more appealing than ever. On the 14th and 15th of November the INEC-members from Amsterdam and Almere will stage this international gathering.


Coming from a member event to share experiences, best practices and bring together businesses from member cities, Broadband Cities over the years has turned into an open event to any professional interested and involved in broadband development. This year the theme focuses on the contribution broadband brings in developing our cities in an economic wealthy and socially coherent place to life, work and play. International speakers from all over the globe, gather in Amsterdam and Almere, The Netherlands, to share their vision, ideas and concepts to open up the minds of policymakers and business shapers. Already INEC has attracted speakers like:

  • Carlota Perez -researcher, lecturer and international consultant- who’s vision on the social and economic impact of technical change and in the historically changing conditions for growth, development and competitiveness is well known.
  • William Melody, professor, and amongst many other activities special advisor to the US Government in the break-up of AT&T, 1974 –84
  • Eelco Blok, member of the KPN board, the Dutch national incumbent
  • Taylor Reynolds, senior analyst, OECD
  • Benoit Felten, senior analyst, Yankee Group
